This specialized conference brings together leaders and experts from Iraq’s national statistics and planning institutions to discuss the development of modern statistical systems and the role of digital technologies in managing national data. The programme addresses the integration of the General Population Census with the Iraq Household Socio-Economic Survey (IHSCS), the management and governance of census databases, geographic information systems, artificial intelligence and automation in support of national identity, and the institutional mechanisms required to strengthen the quality and accessibility of national statistical information. The session concludes with a review of recommendations and recognition of the committees involved in supporting Iraq’s national statistical programmes.
