The Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority, under the Ministry of Planning of the Republic of Iraq, is responsible for the development, production, management, and dissemination of official statistical and geospatial information. Its work includes population and census statistics, economic and social surveys, national indicators, geographic information systems, spatial data, and statistical databases. The Authority supports national planning, policy development, and government decision-making by providing reliable data and contributing to the digital transformation and modernization of Iraq’s national statistical system.
