Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs at ITEX IRAQ 2026: Digital Transformation, Empowerment and International Cooperation at the Core of Its Participation
Iraq’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is preparing to participate in ITEX IRAQ 2026 with a programme focused on digital transformation, social-service modernization, empowerment of persons with disabilities, and cooperation with international organizations and institutional partners.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Iraq is preparing to participate in the fifth edition of ITEX IRAQ 2026 – Iraq’s International Telecommunications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference, taking place at Baghdad International Fair from 30 September to 3 October 2026.
The Ministry’s participation reflects a growing focus on using technology and digital transformation to modernize public services, improve institutional efficiency, expand access to beneficiaries, and strengthen the delivery of social protection and empowerment programmes.
Its participation will focus on two key areas. The first will highlight the Ministry’s digital government projects and electronic services, showcasing how technology is being integrated into public administration, service delivery, data management, and institutional modernization.
The second area will focus on social empowerment and support for persons with disabilities, highlighting initiatives that use technology to improve accessibility, inclusion, employment opportunities, and access to public and social services.
The Ministry’s participation also involves cooperation with international organizations and development partners, including the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). This cooperation reflects the importance of international partnerships in supporting social development, institutional capacity, and digital transformation initiatives.
Through multiple exhibition areas and activities, the Ministry will present its programmes and projects while creating opportunities for dialogue with technology companies, experts, investors, and international organizations on digital solutions that can support the future development of labour, social protection, and public-service delivery in Iraq.
The Ministry’s presence at ITEX IRAQ 2026 represents a practical example of connecting technology with social development, positioning digital transformation not only as a technical modernization process, but as a tool to improve service quality, expand inclusion, strengthen access, and support communities across Iraq.
The participation forms part of a broader governmental presence at ITEX IRAQ 2026, bringing together ministries, public institutions, local and international technology companies, investors, and global organizations to promote cooperation, exchange expertise, and explore the next generation of digital projects and opportunities in Iraq.
