Minister of Communications Reaffirms Support for ITEX IRAQ 2026 and Directs the Formation of a High-Level Follow-Up Committee
The ITEX IRAQ 2026 team met with Iraq’s Minister of Communications, Eng. Mustafa Sanad, to discuss preparations for the fifth edition, including the formation of a high-level committee to follow up on the exhibition and support invitations to leading international companies.
The ITEX IRAQ 2026 team met with Iraq’s Minister of Communications, Eng. Mustafa Sanad, as part of the ongoing preparations for the fifth edition of the Iraq International Telecommunications and Information Technology Exhibition.
The meeting reviewed the organizational and technical preparations for the exhibition, the Telecommunications Forum programme, the participation of Ministry institutions and sector companies, and mechanisms to expand the presence of leading international telecommunications and technology companies.
As part of the Ministry’s support for ITEX IRAQ 2026, the formation of a high-level committee was emphasized to follow up on the exhibition’s preparations, coordinate among relevant entities and Ministry formations, facilitate participation requirements, and strengthen institutional cooperation toward the successful delivery of the event.
The Ministry’s support also includes facilitating invitations to leading international companies in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, data centres, cloud computing, networking, 5G technologies, and international connectivity, with the aim of expanding international participation and attracting new technology and investment opportunities to the Iraqi market.
The Minister highlighted the importance of ITEX IRAQ 2026 as a national platform bringing together government institutions, the private sector, and global technology companies to showcase telecommunications and digital transformation projects, explore investment opportunities, and build strategic partnerships.
The meeting also addressed Iraq’s growing role in international connectivity, transit, and digital infrastructure, and the importance of positioning the country as a stronger regional technology and communications hub.
The fifth edition of ITEX IRAQ 2026 will take place from 30 September to 3 October 2026 at the Baghdad International Fairground, under the patronage of the Prime Minister and with the support and patronage of Iraq’s Ministry of Communications.
