Under the Patronage of the Prime Minister, ITEX IRAQ 2026 Brings Government, Technology Leaders and Investors Together in Baghdad
Under the patronage of Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, ITEX IRAQ 2026 will bring together a broad coalition of Iraqi government institutions, global and regional technology companies, investors and industry leaders, positioning Baghdad as a growing regional platform for technology, investment and digital transformation.

Baghdad is preparing to host the fifth edition of ITEX IRAQ 2026 – Iraq’s International Telecommunications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference, taking place from 30 September to 3 October 2026 at Baghdad International Fair, under the patronage of Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi.
The 2026 edition comes at a time when Iraq is accelerating investment in digital infrastructure, connectivity, public-sector modernization and technology-driven economic development. Against this backdrop, ITEX IRAQ is evolving beyond a conventional exhibition into a national and regional platform connecting government institutions, technology companies, investors, regulators and decision-makers.
The event has secured broad institutional participation from across the Iraqi government. Official correspondence included in the event documentation confirms participation or approval from ministries including Communications, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Education, Planning, Finance, Labour and Social Affairs, Health, Transport, Interior, Agriculture, Justice and Electricity, alongside other public institutions and government bodies.
The wider institutional ecosystem also includes bodies such as the Iraqi Securities Commission, Insurance Diwan, Iraqi Association of Insurers and Reinsurers, and the Iraqi Federation of Industries, expanding the event’s scope into FinTech, digital insurance, capital markets, industry, data, cybersecurity and government technology.
On the private-sector side, ITEX IRAQ 2026 is backed by a growing group of leading technology and connectivity companies. Zain Iraq participates as Strategic Sponsor, while Mannai Technologies, Redington Middle East, IRAQ-IXP and Horizon Scope Technologies join as Platinum Sponsors, alongside additional official and sector partners.
This combination of governmental participation and private-sector sponsorship gives ITEX IRAQ 2026 a distinctive role in Iraq’s technology landscape: creating a direct environment for public-private dialogue, investment discussions, B2B engagement, technology deployment and long-term strategic partnerships.
The 2026 edition will cover key sectors including telecommunications, FTTH, cloud computing, data centers, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, FinTech, digital payments, digital government, enterprise technology, EdTech, hardware, startups and smart infrastructure.
A comprehensive conference and forum programme will run alongside the exhibition, bringing together government officials, regulators, technology executives, investors, experts and international speakers to discuss the next phase of Iraq’s digital economy.
Through this growing coalition of government, business and technology stakeholders, ITEX IRAQ 2026 is positioning Baghdad as a meeting point for policy, capital, technology and market opportunity, strengthening Iraq’s connection with regional and global technology ecosystems.
