GCAAN Strengthens Its Presence at ITEX IRAQ 2026 with a Focus on Digital Transformation and International Infrastructure Standards
The General Company for Airports Administration and Air Navigation, affiliated with Iraq’s Ministry of Transport, is preparing to participate in ITEX IRAQ 2026 as part of a broader drive to modernize airport management, air navigation, telecommunications, and supporting infrastructure. As preparations continue for the fifth edition of ITEX IRAQ 2026, the General Company for Airports Administration and Air Navigation (GCAAN), affiliated with Iraq’s Ministry of Transport, has issued an official invitation to companies contracted with the company to participate in the Iraq International Telecommunications and Information Technology Exhibition.
The event will take place from 30 September to 3 October 2026 at Baghdad International Fairground.
The invitation follows the approval of the Minister of Transport for the participation of the Ministry’s formations in the exhibition and reflects the growing role of ITEX as a platform for showcasing technology, digital transformation, infrastructure development, and cross-sector cooperation.
According to the official letter, the invited companies are involved with GCAAN in strategic projects related to air navigation and telecommunications and have been asked to confirm their participation and coordinate with the company’s internal exhibition preparation committee to complete registration and participation procedures.
This initiative comes under the leadership of Captain Ihab Saad Kareem, Chairman of the Board of GCAAN, and reflects a clear institutional direction toward modernizing operations, strengthening digital transformation, and advancing the systems and infrastructure used across airport management, air navigation, and communications.
